Pictures at an Exhibition
Music director Steven Larsen stated, "One of the best-loved staples of the orchestral repertoire, Pictures was inspired by visual images. With the help of some of the best photographers in our area, we’ve turned the creative process around and assembled a brilliant presentation of regional photos, both inspired by the music and creating an unforgettable visual tribute to Rockford."
The 35-minute-long segment of the performance showcased hundreds of photographs created in the Rockford area by eight local photographers was to music that streamed over the orchestra on stage. Emily Bear
Pianist Emily Bear has only been playing piano for three years, but at just eight years old, her accomplishments are inspiring and her talent is breathtaking. Classical, jazz and boogie come naturally to her. She performs a large list of classics and standards, and also composes her own magical songs. www.EmilyBear.com
